Services
I provide individual therapy services for adults aged 18 years and over.
I can offer face-to-face appointments at my office in Blaxland on Mondays, including limited after-hours appointments (additional fees apply). I also offer telehealth appointments with broader availability throughout the week.
See below for more information regarding my areas of practice (the concerns I provide support with).
Individual Therapy
I provide supervision and training in the use of imagery rescripting (particularly with clients who are experiencing mental imagery about suicide) and safety planning.
Please note that I have not yet completed the AHPRA board approved supervisor training, so cannot act as a registrar supervisor.
Supervision and Training
I do not provide medico-legal services, care where there are outstanding or anticipated legal matters, or support where there are work-cover claims. I do not currently provide cognitive assessments or standalone neurodiversity assessments for diagnostic or functional capacity evaluations.
Areas of Practice
I provide support with a range of concerns, including some of the areas outlined below. This list is not exhaustive and not intended to try to place your experiences into separate boxes. Your real-world experiences may span across several of these areas (or others not listed).
-
Recent acute depression
Longstanding, chronic, or recurrent depression
Feeling down, depressed, or persistent low mood
Anhedonia (not feeling interested in or enjoying the things you normally would)
-
Including:
obsessive-compulsive symptoms including contamination concerns, excessive checking, intrusive thoughts or images
social anxiety and worries about what people will think about you
health anxiety and worries about being sick
generalised anxiety involving worries about different things, such as the health and safety of yourself or loved ones, money, work, the broader world and society
panic disorder involving unexpected panic attacks
agoraphobia and anxiety about certain places or situations
separation anxiety including distress at being apart from a loved one such as your spouse or parent
specific phobias of particular things like needles/blood (including syncope/fainting), creatures (such as dogs, birds, spiders, snakes), flying or heights
-
Including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or trauma relating to specific single events (e.g., medical emergency, car accident, assault) that may have occurred in adulthood as well as more complex early life traumas that may have involved multiple events (e.g., repeated abuse).
-
These concerns might show up in how you approach your studies or work, or how you apply rules, standards, or avoidance in your personal life.
-
Support in coping with chronic health conditions and disability including invisible disabilities (e.g., ME/CFS, endometriosis, chronic pain, Type 1 diabetes)
-
Support coping with carer responsibilities, whether that is providing care for medically unwell children, older parents, an unwell spouse, or other loved ones.
-
Support exploring gender or sexual identity, and in coping with stress that can be experienced alongside a minority identity.
-
Support in coping with grief and loss, including unexpected loss relating to suicide or homicide.
Many of my clients are autistic, ADHDers, or in other ways neurodivergent. My approach is neurodiversity affirming and informed by a social identity model of disability. However, please note that I do not currently provide standalone neurodiversity (e.g. autism or ADHD) assessments for diagnostic or functional capacity evaluations.
